This game sucks. I wrote a review about how much it sucks (you can see it here), but I think you need more. So, I've created this section.... with pictures! Now you too can experience the crappiness of Warrior of Rome! Come along with me on this WONDERFUL JOURNEY!!

Those bastards.
This is the first area you see when you start the stage. Yeah, I don't understand it, either. Wouldn't it make more sense to put it over one of the occupied bases? Like in the next pic.
Goal: Destroy the pirate ships while protecting your ten bases. Can't be that hard, right? Unfortunately, the majority of your units start out with only half their life gauges filled up. To make matters worse....
.... You're outnumbered. You start out with only five untis while the enemy has all ten of their units. Your other five units appear later, but still, talk about getting screwed over...
I seriously wish I could show you this battle in motion with the music playing in the background. It's just silly. They don't even look like they're fighting, instead, it looks like they're dancing with each other. Everytime I see one of these battles, I feel like "Macho Man", "In The Navy", or "It's Raining Men" should be playing.
Conclusion: Stage 1 sucks for screwing you over from the very beginning.
