Amazing... who would have thought I was gonna make it all the way up to 21 features? Mindblowing. It has been a long, hard, and very boney road that had its share of good times... and even awesomer times. Now, let's take this opportunity to look back at the last 20 features I made for this site, and see just how incredible these features were.

There's only one awesome word I could use to describe this awesome recap of an awesome feature: awesome. To do a recap of a feature that just went up a day before is just.... revolutionary.

Now here's a feature that people will be talking about years later. For its time, this fe... eh. You know what? Forget this. There's something else I need to talk about.
A game.... a very badass game called:

What's so badass about this game, you say? Well, I'll tell you.

Come on, don't tell me the very image of giant ants crawling on buildings and being pooped out of flying saucers doesn't make you giddy. What's even better is charging STRAIGHT INTO a horde of giant ants equipped with just an assault rifle and rocket launcher and own the entire group. Later on in the game, you'll encounter red, giant ants, who are much more aggressive and will quickly surround you if you're not careful:

Don't let the simplicity of the image fool you. Take note that while your EDF soldier is trying to destroy the hole that the ants are crawling out of that, in the corner radar, a bunch of red dots are zeroing in on his location. Basically, a combination of black ants, red ants, and hopping spiders are seconds away from tearing that guy a new one. Also take notice of the figure in the background making its way towards you. Doesn't seem like much of a threat, really. Well, you're wrong, because it's a....

It's always an awesome thing to fight against these things. Especially when a bunch of your guys attempt to go up against a dozen of them, and normally fail at it... It's also always a fun thing to run RIGHT UP to one of them and just stand there unleashing your bullets on it while it slowly walks towards you with its big ass guns pointed in your direction. What's better is seeing one explode (as shown in the second pic, where the robot behind the one you're seeing blows up), because it's usually a big explosion.... followed by an even bigger explosion as they hit the ground.

If it's one thing these game does well, it's destruction. The game really doesn't give a crap what you do to your surroundings, so you can basically blow the crap out of a city if you want. See a tall building with giant ants crawling on it? No problem. Just whip out your rocket launcher, shoot at the thing, and watch it crumble as the ants fall to the ground. It's very ironic, really, because you're trying to save these places, yet, you have the power to destroy it as well. Makes you wonder who's more of a threat: EDF or the aliens?..... Screw it, you get to blow crap up. That's good enough.
It literally speaks for itself.
So, if you don't feel compelled to buy Earth Defense Force immediately after reading all of this, then you need to give up on playing video games. Really.
Happy 21st Feature! : D
